Outdoor Community Concert – October 24th
Your Contra Council wanted to get one more outdoor event to happen before the weather turns cold, so we’ve scheduled another outdoor concert…this time at the Schenley Plaza tent on Saturday, October 24 from 2-4 pm. There will be tables set up for 20 people and there is plenty of space surrounding the tent for the public to gather round (socially distanced) to enjoy this performance.
Entertainment will be provided by these local musicians:
-Senior Moment (with 5 people including Ron Buchanan)
-Donna Isaac and Allison Thompson;
-Charlie and Daphne Anderson.
The Parks Conservancy has allowed us to offer this event at no cost to our community. We are suggesting donations to Pittsburgh Contra Dance, Pittsburgh Restaurant Workers Aid, 412 Food Rescue, SisTers PGH, Black Lives Matter, or other groups of your choosing. We now have a Venmo account @PghContra (associated with Ralph Kaden, our Treasurer) and you can also donate through our website www.pittsburghcontra.org
All attendees will be required to wear masks and to practice social distancing. You may bring your own chairs if you prefer. You may bring your own water bottles. Please RSVP to pittsburghcontradance@gmail.com if you would like to reserve a table and tell us how many people are in your table bubble. We hope you’ll come out on what we hope will be a glorious fall afternoon, listen to live music and enjoy socializing with others from our community!
